No they are not sterile! I have had A.borelli going for years now and
I frequently go to the Importers for wild fish to revitalize my lines.
They will breed and again and again. Most importantly they occur
together in the wild according to linke and staeck, however they
always come in separate at the importers and I have never found mixed
ones in as contaminants, though you can always find other species of
Apisto's mixed in.
