Re: Tank Size For Breeding Apistos

Hi all,
Recently I found out for myself that tank size may be veru small. Then
I read russian books about fishkeeping, I encounter about the same
volumes recommended for keeping the same species of fish. The only
difference is that water volume in these books measures in liters, in
american ones - in gallons, so, Russian aquariumists use about 4 times
less space for keeping and breeding fish then american. And I think
Russians are more serious and successfull in the hobby - they do not have
Amason river close to export neons and everything, and still neons are
one of the most common fish - THEY BREED THEM, and this (and many other
things) is not considered any special. As I recall from my experience,
10 gallon tank was considered as a big one, and I have friends who kept and
breed A.borelii, angels, barbs, etc in much smaller tanks.

Just my 1/2 cent
