Hi all, This question of 'rotpunkt' distribution, plus questions like the njisseni/panduro/atahualpa group, all the Agas and cacatuoides and such leave me with a question. Does anyone on the list know of anyone doing research into what the DNA of apistos can show us about evolutionary relationships? There's really interesting work being done on killies. While hobbyist interest isn't the goal of such research, it's pretty enlightening for aquarists. It would be nice to know what, if anything is being done yet, is showing up with such research on Apistogramma. This is simply a question - I'm just an English teacher with a basement full of glass boxes... -Gary PS, also, is anyone describing the 'rotpunkt' types? For a fish so established in the hobby, and so interesting, they seem very neglected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@majordomo.pobox.com.
