Re: Moving homes with an aquarium

Years ago, I moved a 20 gallon, drained to 6cm and full of fish and
plants on a 13 hour drive. Everything went well, as the tank sat in the
back seat of the car, until 12 hours into our run when an animal ran out
onto the highway. My sister-in-law, who was driving, slammed the brakes,
and the fish slammed into the glass, in a series of tiny thuds.
Rummy nose tetras can't take a good braining. Trust me on that.
Does anyone in England sell fish helmets?

In 1996 I moved 35 tanks at -20 with 18cm of fresh snow down. I didn't
lose a fish. They're tougher than you think.
