Anyone interested in breeding them should combine a great amount of patience (they seem slow to mature) with good water quality (low nitrates) and good food (lots of small shrimp and other live stuff...which is also what came up in the nets in both Peru and Brazil). May fortune favour the foolish (tying up tank space and putting in all that effort!).
