Re: A. juruensis

The following is a picture (though not a very good one) of one of my
male A. sp. aff. juruensis. This fish came from Julio Melgar; I believe
it was collected in the upper Nanay River.

You can see the bright yellow under the lateral line and on the lower
fins. Other distinguishing features which are a little blurry or
blocked by the log are the lyre-tail and the color on the first 3-4
dorsal rays which are black except for the top half of the longest ray
which is orange-yellow. You can also barely make out a suborbital
stripe, and the separation between the lateral line and caudal spot.
