At 1 1/2 inches most A. sp. aff. juruensis has a round to slightly squared off
tail. There's a good photo of a young specimen in both Koslowski's (p. 113, top)
and Schaefer's (p. 50, bottom left) books. If it was up to me, I'd list it as
"Apistogramma sp. possibly A. sp. aff. juruensis".
