I bought a small juvenile female A. steindachneri 2 weeks ago. Up until monday she seemed fine, swimming around the tank eating happily (tetrabits and frozen bloodworms) etc. Since monday she has been hiding ina small pot. When I flushed her out last night her swimming behaviour was quite 'drunken' she didnt get off the bottom at all, and seemed unstable, and her gill movement was fairly heavy. She has also stopped eating as far as I can tell. Her belly area is slightly pinkish, cant tell if this is external colour or light shining thru internal organs. No external symptoms visible. Im not sure what this is and cant find any appropriate info on the 'net (checked FAQ and the krib) Current water parameters pH 6.9 - 7.0, temperature 26C, general hardness 50ppm, nitrates negligible ( about 1ppm?) Changes since the weekend 10% water change on sunday - didnt do anythign out of the ordinary. (i use wardley tristart to get rid of chlorine) Added some small pvc pipes - scrubbed them with boiling water first Added 20 x 1 cm baby bristlenose catfish Only other fish in tank is a zebra danio. All other fish are fine including the baby catfish. Any suggestions? I have raised temperature of tank to 28C Steph ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@majordomo.pobox.com.
