I've thought about water changing, but I fear that this can cause some deterioration of the balance in the tank. Now the water is clear, the plants are abundant and during 8 months I have never even scraped away algae from the glass . In all books it is recommended that fishes from the North of South America should be kept in "old" water. Though I will try changing but at a lesser degree - can 10% a week do anything? And I suppose also that everyday or so gradual change is better than weekly. Am I right? What is about their behavior - I do not going to breed them. I merely want them to make a permanent pair and occupy a place in the tank which they would defend. This is the most interesting trait of the cichlids IMHO. Now they swim throughout the tank and a Labeo of approximately the same size even attacks them... - Andrey ---------- > От: Ken Laidlaw <K.Laidlaw@roe.ac.uk> > Кому: apisto@majordomo.pobox.com > Тема: Re: some problems > Дата: 23 декабря 1998 г. 13:25 > > Hi Andrey, > > Welcome aboard. > > I believe you must start performing regular water changes > such as 25% of the tank water every week or so.
