Re: Ottos and fry
Can't say I've ever had a problem with ottos and fry, It would be ottos
and eggs I would more concerned about. It has only happened to me once,
but I had an otto which robbed a pair of rams of their spawn (or most of
it anyway) The rams couldn't have been very good parents to let that
happen, this theory was rienforced when they spawned again and ate the
eggs.
So if the cacatuoides are good parents I doubt a problem will arise. I
have ottos in with other breeding pairs, and the seem to ignore fry
(which does them no good as they are still beat up by the parents)
Hope this helps
