Then it isn't hair algae.  It is comething else and is the leading algae
problem I fight in my tanks.  The ottos I have suck it down like candy.
Whatever it is forms stringy globs that look almost like bushes.  If I give
them places to hide during the day, will they eat it at night and survive the
mom's attacks?
