after quite a bit more looking after my initial bit of excitement, the stuff that i though was eggs actually is, well, i dunno but its not eggs. BUT... on the underside (or rather, what would be the underside if it werent a vertical leaf) of a sword leaf near where i thought the eggs were, theres the real thing. less pinkish, more ivory-coloured, bigger, generally more egg-like. not quite a mm in diameter apiece. i have no idea what the pinkish stuff is - overspray perhaps? i only know it appeared about the same time as the aggressive behaviour. shes fanning them quite vigorously, when shes not chasing inquisitive or merely passerby tankmates. and her checkboard patterning is mostly gone now, in favour of a near-solid line. darn i wish i didnt have to go to work tommorrow... -joel ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@majordomo.pobox.com.
