Pictures can be found in the Aqualog Southamerican Cichlids II. Further,
from Mayland and Bork: "Specimens of the yellow form have a more or less
golden yellow head and breast as well as a deep blue body. 
In the blue form, all yellow parts are strongly reduced; instead a blood
red head pattern is shown. Particularly well coloured males are also
offered under the amendment "Opal""

I should add that I have seen red cheeks in both blue and yellow varieties.
