Take a look at:

This is the treatment that I used to treat nematodes.
There is a risk that your fish are carrying them if housed 
with fish were carrying them.  I believe they get into the 
fish if the ingest eggs or young of the worms.

They will not kill fish quickly but can in the long term as 
the gut gets eaten into.
