The best and most complete colored lexicon of cichlids is by Dr. Herbert
R. Axelrod(2nd ed), and it is over 800 pages of dwarf and regular sized
cichlids including about 12+ color varieties of Rams...the reference is
,of course, in color with 2,271 colored illustrations of cichlids...the
book weighs about 7 lbs and is published by T.F.H.Publications,Inc.,1 TFH
 Plaza, Neptune City, N.J.

the book is about 12" x 18" 4" and has exquisit colored photographs
averaging 6" x 6" in size often in different stages of spawning...esp
kribs/rams...detail is so precise that the eggs are clearly visable...the
fish are organized by geographical area/lake ie "South American
Cichlids"...list price is $100....well worth the price...some colo photos
take up the whole page...you can find it at Pet's Mart...

A must for any serious dwarf cichlid keeper or breeder...russ
