You don't give me much to go on. If you're certain that they are not A.
resticulosa, two names come to mind from your limited description. One is a
domestic form of A. caetei called "Blaukopf" (Blue-head). There's a photo of the
front half of one on page 54 in the Mayland & Bork book. The other is found in a
Japanese book called The Aquarium 2300 Atlas. On page 117 is a fish labeled A.
caetei x resticulosa "New Blue". I get the feeling it and Blaukopf may be the
same fish. A good photo or detailed description (see The Krib web site for this)
would be very helpful.

By the way, the fish shown as A. resticulosa in Linke & Staeck's book is not the
A. resticulosa from the type locality. It is a fish from the mouth of the Amazon
(Ihla de Marajó) that is closely related to A. resticulosa called A. sp.
Wangenflecken (Cheek-spots). The type locality A. resticulosa is a much more
colorful fish.
