Don't put any silicon to keep the two parts of the bottle together.
Otherwise, how are you going to release the corys afterwards with any ease?
The 'funnel' part should be cut in such a way that its outside edge fits
relatively snuggly with the outside edge of the rest of the bottle.

Also be careful you don't catch all your apistos first.  They are more
inquisitive than corys and will actually guard the bottle because there's
food in it.
