Thanks, Helen. One method I have tried before is to filter out some newly hatched BBS before I leave work in the morning. I would carry them in a small plastic vial and do a final rinse while I'm at work. The only real trouble is I would never get up in time to be consistent. I catch the 5:53 a.m. train to Chicago every day.. and I'm not a morning person. So I know there are times (like today) when I'll sleep through the alarm and wake up with just enough time to shower and dress ... no coffee this morning :-( That's why I was thinking of something I can culture at work, like the eels. Freezing the BBS might be a alternative too. What about plain refridgeration? If I harvested some BBS the night before and put them in the fridge to slow down their metabulism, would they still be viable say 10-12 hours later?
