As a general rule, do you let algae sortof grow unabated, or do you 'prune' some of it? Say I don't have any visible in my tank - should I crank up the light level/duration?
Actually, I find it growing on the glass under my light bulb - the bubbles from my airstone keep it wet and aerated. Should I pick some of that off and toss it in the water, just to have some in there?
Trying to stay ahead of the game,
Andrew

My best fry survival comes when the tank they are hatched in is loaded with
slimy globby hairy algae. The micro-goodies in these environments provide
better for the fry than I can even with BBS.
