Well I finally got some apistos!! However, (you knew that had to be coming)several of them are too small to be identified. It looks as though I have lucked up and a few of my "agassizi" are actually bitaeniata. Maybe. THe thing that seems to clench it for me are the streaks in the anal fin. Also I was wondering, how soon do male agassizi show the lanceolate caudal? My largest one is around 1.5 to 2 inches and the tail looks fairly round. In fact unless they have them slightly clamped all the caudals look rounded. Do i have all females? I bought 14 or 15 small fish so surely there is a pair to be found in there somewhere? BTW, you can all drool over this deal....they cost me a whopping $1.50 each. Are there pics on the web anywhere of young apistos?
