RE: Tetras as dithers

Hi Colin,

I have previously suggested the black neon tetra as the near ideal dither. In large enough tanks this fish tends to school nicely in the upper regions of the tank. I have yet to see any noticeable fry predation from this tetra.

My typical setup is a 90 cm wide, 110l tank with a dwarf pair or trio and a small school (~8) black neon tetras. I always have an many, many possible breeding sites and hiding places for my dwarfs. I enjoy this set-up - the intense fry guarding behavior is a wonderful sight!

I feed live bbs and a supplement of bs flakes.
