That seems like typical behavior for discus. It is often recommended when 
keeping discus to have 4-6 so that the "social pecking" order is not so one 
sided, even then one discus will still rule them all, but with so many to 
chase the others get a better chance at the food.

Like most fish, they dont care for nets especially after being netted a few 
times. I have been trying to net a specific discus for 2 weeks now, so far 
the discus is winning the game.
