I actually concur with this. We had some apistos sold to us by another
club member many years back (not with the club for quite some time now)
that had a horrible camallanus infestation. The member had been using old
tank water to seed their daphnia pond outside and had thus been keeping
the parasite cycle going and re-infesting their tanks. After positively
id'ing the worms (they were very clearly poking out of the fishs' anus),
we bought the levamisole in Canada (couldn't find any here), and it did
the trick immediately.

The other two medications we've succesfully used have been flubenol aka
fluke tabs (to get rid of hydra infestations that tended to show up with
fish from a certain famous pacific northwest apisto breeder), and
erithromyacin (to temporarily knock out cyanobacteria). In all three
cases, these were very obvious symptoms and very clear which medication
was correct.
