RE: baby birds I brought to the last meeting



Oh my gosh, I LOVE Gouldians.  Do you have just 1 breeding pair?  I read
that they are not the best parents.

Kate, you must have a zoo like me! Lol.  I have 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 cockatiel,
and 7 aquariums.

They are gouldian finches. I think they were just a few days old at the 
last meeting. Here is how they look today:

The yellow with the vein on the left bird's chest is the crop, where 
they pack in a ton of food every few hours and store it til it passes to 
their stomachs. When I brought them to the last meeting they were tiny. 
I didn't show everyone as I wasn't really sure it was good for them and 
I didn't really know if they would make it. One didn't but these two 
look strong enough. I am a little worried about the runty one. Kate
