Yes. But you can't live on just beef. Same with the fish. It's great for growth but there are notable health problems, even with Discus, when beef heart is the only thing in the diet. The fish get very fat heads, excess fat in the chest, become slower moving, and get pale in color. Such fish usually don't breed well or tolerate stress well. A good homemade food contains other ingredients (such as shrimp) to balance out the beef.
