Neither are the Seachem African cichlid salts and buffer, not much, or little sodium chloride, but stuff like Epsom salts. I got some straight plain iodine used for saltwater tanks after that. Use half of what is recommended for saltwater. It has iodine, and other vitamins it's for all cichlids. Since I had read that the crawdads need iodine, I figured I could use this, and the vitamins shouldn't hurt it. We'll find out.....
