How about a nice pretty pair of Bosemani Rainbows?  They are VERY community 
friendly and aggressive eaters (should be able to take care of those 
unwanted fry in no time).  Not to mention that if you get a pair, the male 
is constantly putting on displays for the female.  Also a rather beautiful 
fish.
