Betty, I can't help out with the netting. But I can absolutely help out with housing two if they are available. We have an outdoor, heated, protected goldfish pot. One of the residents used to be an indoor PET that we rescued from the orphan tank at The Fish Store. His name is Spud... and he looks like a potato. Spud likes company.
