Yeah....my pair of 65w Coralife bulbs seems to scare the hell out of the Clowns when they come on and they hide til they go off. Well, they hide all the time except first thing in the morning before the lights are on when they get morning light and I am not moving around yet. It is actually a true morning joy for me to watch them doing their morning Loachy Dance from my bed first thing. It definitely makes the morning a bit more pleasant. I do think I will have to drop the light though for them to be optimally happy which is my goal. Still seeking plants..... ________________________________________________________ Shango Los Phone: 206-595-9006 Fax: 206-729-5271 www.ShangoLos.com www.SunbreakShines.com -----Original Message----- From: gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com [mailto:gsas-member-bounces@thekrib.com] On Behalf Of Hess, Clay A Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2007 1:37 PM To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Seeking Low Light Plants Shango, I am not sure that is necessary. If your plants heavily populate your tank to where little light reaches the bottom and there is room for the loaches to move around under them, the light above is pretty well filtered out by the time it hits bottom I would imagine. That being said, my 100 gallon tank is populated with only two or three types of anubias and has one 40 Watt flourescent bulb burning above it. It is a rather dark tank. I know the plants I have in there will need to be moved because they are all high light. I am seeking donations of low light plants that you may have growing out of control. I am hoping to get some trimmings from folks at the picnic. If you have a bounty of low light plants that you just trim and throw away, let me know. I don't have much to trade at this point unless you want some of these here pushy Trumpet Snails. Thanks Shango ________________________________________________________ Shango Los Phone: 206-595-9006 Fax: 206-729-5271 www.ShangoLos.com www.SunbreakShines.com _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member _______________________________________________ GSAS-Member mailing list GSAS-Member@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-member
