I mean those little glass tubes with a thermometer inside. Some might be off a little, but most read within a degree of what you get with a laboratory-grade mercury thermometer. You can do a little survey yourself by grabbing a bunch of them at the local pet store and compare the readings among the lot of them (with the caveat that they may be stored at slightly different temperatures on the shelf).
