I have to admit that I've never kept either goldfish or koi in the 70's
unless they are outside and the ambient temperature brings that tank water
into that temperature range. Even so, at least with goldfish, the only
plant that seems to be 'food' is duckweed. They totally ignore azolla,
pistia or salvinia (spp??). My 4-5" koi from the Koi Show totally ignored
those floaters also. I'm hoping that the koi decide to eat azolla!!! At
least the chickens will eat it when I toss it over the fence....
