Some frontosa like the burundi do have a huge hump, but the others I mentioned have much smaller humps on the head and bluer than the standard 6 stripe (AKA Burundi). This kind is the most common found at pet stores, but the nicer ones (bluer speicies) are rarer in this area. I have the bluer speicies, there's 9 in my tank, largest is about 7-8" and they are very nice. I've been into frontosas for the last 3 yrs. this pic below is one of my 11" prized male (Zaire Kitumba) I had http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c279/jschulst/kit1.jpg GoBlueCichlids www.wolverinecichlids.com ________________________________ From: "Doerr, Jesse" <Jesse.Doerr@fei.com> To: Greater Seattle Aquarium Society member chat <gsas-member@thekrib.com> Sent: Tue, October 13, 2009 12:01:02 PM Subject: Re: [GSAS-Member] Big Tank Suggestions Frontosas have always looked weird to me. Are they better in person than on the pictures? Because they seem like they have a brain tumor thing going on.
