Biased Judging

Regarding the issue of excluding people, which several folks brought up
earlier and David Engle just re-mentioned, I've got this to say:

Slanting the Judging or injecting ANY sort of bias into the Judging to
FAVOUR planted tanks, can and undoubtably WILL be construed by a lot of
people to be patently unfair, biased and elitist on our part. It will also
make the "judging" process VERY complex and obtuse. Nobody wants that.

It is MUCH more honest to be up front and just exclude all but aquatic
gardens from the judging altogether (even OVER my screams that we be
"inclusive").

Please ALSO keep in mind that I think that the AGA MC will have an easier
time of it if the Contest is restricted to aquatic gardens. That is the sole
focus of the organization.

We are _still_ being open and inclusive of other points of view in the
Showcase.
