I will Ray a call in the morning...

Glad to hear that "Jack" Amano was pleased. We should try
to get some feedback from Tomoko, too. Here insihgts with
Amano are generally good and may be helpful.

Karen, if you want to write or call her for an informal
debriefing, please do. If you don't have the time (or the
cough medicine is too strong ;-) )I'll drop her a line.

We have to do some damage repair with the vendors although
I'm not clear about how.

I think Phil has all the contact names and addrs for the
vendors, including Ray's list for the contacts for all the
companies he represents -- each of them need to get a
mailed letter of thanks along with the other vendors.

I believe Rick is going to help Phil with a few parts of
this daunting task. It's is important that these letters go
out relatively close to the event. Postage/expenses get
charged to AGA2K4.

Kent is long time AGA supporter and advertiser in TAG. We
need to be a bit careful how we handle them, imo. Milwaukee
left the site without leaving anything or letting anyone
know they were leaving -- reportedly a bit fed up but that
report might be grossly overstated.

I hope that after Erik fills in Kathy on the event, she can
find some time to talk to Ray. On the whole, I think the
hotel did a good job for us, but the
"breakdown"/misscommunication with vendor room access times
didn't get our attention soon enough. A couple of things
"conspired" against us re the vendors. I saw a similar but
worse problem at an NJAS event. Perhaps next year, we
should consider having someone appointed to looking after
the vendors. This obviously had not occured to be before,
but the long-term relationships are so important, maybe we
should consider it.

I got some sleep! Dropped Mr. Amano off at the airport -
he said he
had a great time and quote "..I've been to many
conventions around the world,
including, Europe, Moscow - Russia, and this was the best
organized convention
yet." He also said that local clubs and organizations
like the AGA, are not
found in Japan and it's excellent for the hobby that we
have something like
this here.

Erik, when you're done with the DVD, can GWAPA get a few
copies please?
Not many of the folk working the convention got to see
the talks. The only
ones I caught were Pauls and Amanos presention and demo.
Didn't see
any of Jans, Olivers or Mike Senskes. Rick didn't even
catch Amanos
presentation.

I hate KENT MARINE! Despite us repeatidly asking them NOT
to give
away all their product, they gave most of it away. We
were only left with
a fraction of the product and it was not enough to drop
into the goodie bags.

Seachem donated SO much product! I'll personally call
Greg Morin to thank
him.
