Karen, you were one of those authors. Do you remember anything about thearrangement for WRITING for PAM? Did it say anything about reprints, or have any limitations to the first print run? There was no written contract. That means the default is first N.A. rights. (so technically, Dave has no right to have issue 2 up on a web site) That said, virtually ALL of us who wrote for PAM also have written, and many continue to write for AGA without compensation. Even with PAM, there was the amount that Dave was supposedly paying for articles, and the amount he did pay... about half. I, and I believe others, let him pay half, with the understanding that IF PAM ever became profitable, he'd pay us the other half. Realistically, none of us thought that would happen. We were all just supporting the continuation and hopeful growth of a nice magazine that benefitted the hobby while TAG was an abomination in Mary's hands. I suspect that it would be very easy to round up permisssions from the authors. Most are still active members of AGA.
Interesting. And we're talking two issues. Thanks for answering this! - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com _______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
