Yes, I get that but how can a reader be assured that an aritcle is/is not original to TAG? I believe we note any reprints but would the average reader know that? I think the text from the AGA website is missing the word "that" between "Original articles" and "appear in The Aquatic Gardener". Btw, this is a great example of the diff in meaning re the use of "that" vs "which". ;-) What if we say: Original articles that appear in The Aquatic Gardener (TAG) may be reproduced in print(paper) media by non-commercial organizations (unless specifically stated otherwise) for that the proper credit is given to the author and to The Aquatic Gardener, and that at least one copy of the publication containing the reprinted material is sent to TAG's editor at the time of publication. Credit to TAG as the original source must appear at the end of the article, as follows, "Reprinted with permission from The Aquatic Gardener, the Journal of the Aquatic Gardeners Association. Any person interested in the Aquatic Gardeners Association is invited to apply to AGA Membership, PO Box 51536, Denton TX, 76206 USA" Any other republication or duplication of the original articles, must first receive permission from TAG's editor or the article author." I think the answer to Marcus is that authors that submit original ariticles to TAG do not thereby relinquish any of their copyrights. sh --- Cheryl Rogers <cheryl@rightstuffwebsites.com> wrote: > I think an original article is one that we have not > ourselves reprinted > in TAG from somewhere else. > > I do not think our rules address electronic reprinting, > and it should. > > We are leaving ourselves wide open to have, say, Takashi > Amano's > articles reprinted on the web. > > Cheryl > > S.
