I like the idea of a data base with pictures of the various growth forms of
different aquatic species as well as taking in aquatic plants that are not
usually considered aquarium plants because they were tried years ago and
found too difficult to grow or grow too big in a aquarium.

Something similar to the fish data base at http://www.fishbase.org would be
very useful.   I don't really know what is involved in setting up such a
data base but would be willing to submit plant photos, wild and in aquaria
as well as habitat shots and information about the species from the north of
Australia.

Has anyone seen the wonderful work that has been done by Kit and Ben Knotts
on the wild and cultivated water lilies of the world.    That is also a very
nice web site to spend some time.
