I think the problem here is that James is incredibly (sometimes annoyingly)
detail oriented, and Charlene is (sometimes annoyingly) not.  Charlene
doesn't micro-manage anything, so I am fairly sure she gave Diana and Luis
the list, said "go for it" and has left them on their own.

I think having Charlene and James work too closely will be a disaster.  They
will both annoy the heck out of each other, and we will be in the position
of parents dealing with two quarreling children.

I suggest that later today (I can't do it now) I talk to Charlene, and find
out what's going on on their end.  Then we suggest" we "help" the convention
committee by letting James and his crew, with Diana and Luis, coordinate the
WHOLE donation,vendor, advertising drive.

Think that will make James happy?
