Re: rambling on... Re: PayPal Stats

Well, shut my mouth. In the mailbox today were 9, count 'em 9 renewals and 2 new members.

I admit I don't go to the mailbox every day, but I know it hasn't benn more than a week.

Of course, on the bad side, there were also 8 domestic TAG returns and 7 foreign insufficient postages. Karen and I are working this part out. < sigh >

We should probably look at those comps, btw. There are some that should probably be verified once a year. Not saying we should pull them, but just verify that they still should get them.

I'm glad you brought this up, Erik. I've been meaning to ask about this. I wish there was a way to differentiate among:

"someone who is getting a lifetime complimentary subscription because of all they do for the AGA and this is a small gesture to show our gratitude"

"someone who currently advertises a business in TAG"

"someone who we are sure will someday advertise a business in TAG if we give them enough TAGs to look at"

"someone who has their paid TAG subscription mailed to their aquarium or fish-related business"

It's muddy right now. BUT, I think that advertisers need to be reviewed yearly by Kathy and she determines who gets free copies. I mean, if Ecosystems drops out, then they shouldn't get any more free TAGs, yes?

I think this is especially important for *potential* advertisers who haven't paid any money yet but who are conversing positively with Kathy.

Here's a list of current Life subscriptions:

Greg Morin Seachem Laboratories Inc. Stone Mountain GA

Scott, you're not on here because you still have 8 issues left!

Likewise, Michael Hellweg has 5 issues left.

When Charlene's membership came up for renewal earlier this year, and she did not respond to the first reminder e-mail, I quietly gave her 4 more issues without saying nuthin' to nobody. I felt sorry about all the trouble and thought it might be better just to be a quiet presence in her mailbox for a while. Hope I'm not in trouble.
