Excellent idea, shadowing. What you see at the convention from a chair, doesn't cover much of what it *takes* to get to that point -- the doc actually says more and shadowing/training would be good. If you don't push the schedule on the front end, you end up pushing things on the back end, at that's when the world tends to be the least accomodating. Also, summer is a horrible time to be negotiating with a hotel in most places. I wouldn't expect the deal that Larry got this year every year, but if he was negotating the deal any time in the last few months, I think things would hvae been very diff.
