This is their fault at least in part because they didn't bother to get the 
auction software until a few days before the convention, never ran a test 
auction, and the software itself had only been used ONCE by the club that 
produced it, and in that previous run (the catfish convention), it had 
failed.  They chalked it up to using it on a wireless network, but I would 
be trying to find something a lot more tried and true.
