What I was wondering was whether we'd have to go to fewer
pages to get an acceptable cost and whether fewer pages
would feel more like a "Coupon flyer" than a journal.
It sounds like we'd either have a flimsy quarterly or a
more expensive one. The added postal expense would be on
top of the anticipated increase in printing costs that are
occuring regardless of page size.
Just quick & dirty snapshot comparing to our former Boston
rates"
Boston costs were est. at roughly $5,700 (+600) = $6,100
per 1,000 count mailed.
Current cost
per 1,000 mailed = 2670 + $150 + 620 = $3,440
plus contractor costs 600
------
4,040
New cost
per 1,000 mailed = $2900 + $150 + 620 = 3,670
plus contractor costs 600
------
4,270
We could spend about $1,800 more (per 1,000) on postage
before we reach the former Boston rates. However, at the
Boston rates we probably would not not be running AGA in
the black.
