Thanks for the auction suggestions. I will file this in the "to-do bin" for constructing the rule list (which sounds like next weekend or so). > Also, I know that it hasn't been pursued, but I do like being able to > advance an item for a fee. Most auctions charge a buck or two to do it. $5 > seems like a lot to me. Thanks -- I have been interested in hearing how much should be charged for that. > *Plants only (though I would favor allowing plant-freindly fish and inverts > too, just for variety) Yes, I would (and did) bid on a bag of cherry shrimp at a plant auction. So it's a bit sticky if you have a hardfast rule of "no fish". Perhaps keeping it to registrants will help avoid us making tricky rules about what CAN be auctioned? > *2 bags per species or variety (I think this is VERY important so we don't > get bogged down with 500 bags of duck weed) I like this...but I also don't like this. Wouldn't it be cool to have 20 bags of Amano shrimp? Our local club deals with this by having a 20-lot limit per member. Were there any rules like this in Dallas? Actually, I bet there were some rules. I am always wary of adapting the Chattanooga approach because the sheer volume of things was so much lower than we have now (c.f. Leon Garden's request that it be all-silent). > (There's always the FAAS 10 table system, but I've never really liked > that.<g>) We can easily do this too, because the tags I printed have unique numbers on them. They also have letters A-Z, so we could implement a 26-table system if necessary. :) - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com _______________________________________________ AGA-sc mailing list AGA-sc@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-sc
