Wholesale prices on killies are too high for most LFSs to justify and resell,
because they are virtually impossible to mass produce, and the collection
sites for the really good ones (read: pretty enough to attract the
bread-and-butter pet shop customer) are difficult to get in and out of with
large quantities. Also the females are all extremely drab. There is an
extensive network of hobbyists that brees and sell killies. You just have to
make the connection. A good place is the American Killifish Association, if
you want to pay retail plus shipping. Try www.aka.org. You can join at the
online store page.

A better place may be the auctions of your local aquarium society. Ask
around at the LFSs until you find it. Or you can join the killie trader mail
list at http://killie_trader.listbot.com. Then you can post a request for
the ones you are looking for.
