Re: new fishroom pump

I missed the start of this thread but I use one large diaphragm air
pump to run sponge filters in over 80 tanks plus I use it to bubble
air through six 40 gallon reservoirs and one 500 gallon reservoir
with a 6" diameter air stone. It still has extra capacity. What I
particularly like about it is that it pulls less than 60 watts, it is
rated for 25,000 hours before servicing the diaphragm, and it is
extremely quite. You can stand next to it and the bubbling of air in
an aquarium is louder than the pump. It is even quieter than one
small Rena or TetraTec air pump that I use to use. It was not cheap
($245) but it is much better than a blower for an application like
mine since it is cheaper to purchase, it is much cheaper to run and
it is very quite. I purchased mine from Aquaculture Supply. They
sell smaller and larger ones.
