Bill, I've never heard of a "White-spot" apisto. A (not so) funny thought; maybe they are apistos with Ich! Seriously, many new apistos are appearing every day and many new names for known species, too. A description/photo would be helpful. There is a "Weißsaum"/White-rimmed apisto.
