Thankyou for your advice in > advance Gather up a bunch that have fallen in Autumn and rinse them off if you like. If they are dry, you can store them through the spring in plastic bags. When you want, just drop enough in to cover the bottom. As they rot away, siphon out the mess and put in some more. Really simple.
