I personally am not interested in seeing people list fish for sale on this list either. I write here because it has been a site that disseminates information, not a commercial site. I was under the impression that "For Sale" posts were off limits for this list. The Cichlid Trader is an excellent location for those types of post. The ACA & ASG have sites for their members' adds, too. I would hate to be forced to look elsewhere for apisto information if I must wade through even more (to me) irrelevant emails than the ever increasing amount of spam that I get now. There are other mailing lists out there. As for A. agassizii Santarem, this is a name given to at least 2 different color forms found around the city of Santarem, Brazil. The most commonly available form is like the photo at http://dwarfcichlid.hypermart.net/a_agassizii_santarem.JPG. This fish has a lot of bronze above the lateral band, just behind the eye. The bands on the caudal fin are not especially well marked. A second form is pictured in Römer's atlas (p. 255, top). There is not a lot of color to this fish. The bands in the tail are broken and appear as a series of dashes. This makes it look like the tail has a lace pattern. It is probably the same as the fish pictured as A. cf. agassizii Rio Tapajos at http://dwarfcichlid.hypermart.net/a_cf_agassizii_rio_tapajos.JPG.
