P. gh= 5 degrees kh= 4 degrees this kit has no refrence color as to where you stop..it just says when green...well is it lime green olive green or the first shade that resembles green... now my conductivity meter reads 350 ppm....or microsiems.... do the reagent kits fall in line as in the reading from the meter...? reason being as I want to make a 75 gallon amazon biotope setup...plants, apistos, tetras, barbatus cories, zebra plecos and other misc. amazon fish...My problem is if the profile will alter my water....the readings above are from a tank with profile in it...plants growing like a jungle...Now is the TDs and conductivity meter reading my hardness or just any additives in the water... I do not want to use a sharp substrate like laterite as it raises hell on the barbatus barbs as they burrow in the substrate ..All in a nutshell my meters read hard water my kits read softer water...WHY...
