I am very sorry to hear about the problems your friend is having. I am going to tackle this as a disease. We need to establish whether we have a bacteria or parasite. First I need as much information from you as possable. pH, DH etc wild fish or domestic? What foods have you been feeding? what were the last fish you introduced? What was the last thing that happned to the tank before the onset of this? Please describe in detail the behavior of the fish. Are the darting? hideing? do they eat? what do their feces look like? how long has he had the fish before they died? what was the last fish introduced before the problem happned? what is your temperture? what kind of water are you using ? where is it coming from? The more details you give the more likely I will be able to help you. The first step I would do is get the fish into a quarantine tank. Bare bottom with some pvc caves for hideing. Also a dark tank is best. Add about a tablespoon of aquaruim salt per 10 gallons and give them daily water changes. This is a safe prophalactic that will reduce stress. Lets not add any medications till we have an idea of what were dealing with here. Dave Sanchez --- "Liptrot, Pete" <pete.liptrot@bolton.gov.uk> wrote: > Hi everyone.
